Memories Poem

Ever get annoyed when English teachers ask you to write a poem about your life, and that they are fully expecting it to be meaningful, eyeopening, or even emotional. Well I am sorry I don't want to tell you about my life, I hardly know you, but I will still write the poem for my grade. This was allot of fun to write. And acts as a timeline for me.

I was born in Colorado
At the end of May
My dad is allergic to Avocados
I want to go and play

In the Country all I saw was cows
Our house had two acres of cats
What should I write now?
I really hate rats

Cache Valley had allot of snow
I learned to play the flute
I love to cook pie dough
I thought that guy was cute

Purple Hills full of money
I was a foreigner within its halls
Band was great even with the bunnies
Never before had I blended within walls

Home of the tigers they proudly exclaimed
And rightly so
My chef  coat often got stained
Oh and how it would blow

Expanding daily I feel my brain grow
This school pursues the American dream
I'm so grateful for the more I know
Looking forward full of hope my face beams

Marveling at how I spent my time
Though this poem is very vague
It secretly holds many memories of what I've climbed
But right now I think I will get to know a Craig
